If you’re walking down the magnificent mile and want to see a
beautiful lobby space set in a traditional, yet bright and comfortable setting, step
into 330 South Michigan and look down. The tile, specified by a very talented
Chicago interior designer, was perfectly selected to feature the transition between
existing travertine tile, crema marfil marble and the emperadore dark marble that is
shaped in each space with an intricate mosaic.
Custom mosaics can be a work of art, but only if they are installed by
the professionals that consider it art work. Lining up all the grout lines of the give
large format tile, and laying the mosaic marble combination with the precision of a
surgeon is the only way to allow the lobby space floor to become an eye catcher by
all those traveling by.
The designer that hired Xced to complete this elegant tile work, did
a fantastic job of scaling the tile placement to fit the entire room. In this small sitting
area, the overstuffed furniture could have stolen the show but with her
specification, this professional designer grounded the space with the emperador
dark marble before she lined it with the mosaic border and soft marble. We are
honored to have partnered up with such a talented designer and look forward to
working for her again in the future.
